LIFE IS GOOD

So lately whenever people ask me how I am doing I am finally able to say "Really Good!" and actually mean it. I think life with a baby under 6 months is totally exhausting and crazy. Now that Colby has past that age mark things are going much more smoothly. He still is not on a great schedule but it is fun to see him enjoy certain things and start developing a little personality. He loves his sister Abby. She can make him smile even if his is super grouchy. Everything she does with him- the way she talks to him, sooths him, sings to him, etc.- she has obviously learned from watching me interact with him. It is funny to me because I can see myself in her and see my influence over her, which is kind of scary in a way. She has said on more than one occasion the work "freaking" - like "Who is this freaking guy?" (looking at people in a pciture on a DVD case) or "I am freaking busted!" when I catch her doing something naughty. Luckily I don't swear or she would be doing that by now too.

Colby's new favorite activity is the jumper thingy that hangs on a doorjam. He finally slept 6 hours at once (he usually only sleeps 3 hours at a time at night) and I realized it was probably because he had been in the jumper for over 3 hours that afternoon/evening and must have just been totally exhausted.
