FIRST FOOD

The stars were aligned and Colby was given his first sampling of solid food on Saturday night. Abby was in bed early, we've figured out how to use our new camera, we'd bought tapes for our video camera, and so we were ready. He has, shall we say, a "healthy appetite" so we thought he would welcome a new source of sustanance (as would I!). He ate it, but didn't much like the taste of it and scrunched up his face just like he does when we try to give him formula in a bottle. He did sleep a bit longer before waking up for a feeding- so all-in-all we are considering the introduction of rice cereal a success!

Colby will be 6 months old tomorrow. When he was born I reminded myself of how quickly the time goes by and before you know it your brand new baby is walking and talking - but it snuck up on me again, of course. He is so big and has changed so much so fast. But he is turning into the cutest little bugger. I just love him. :)
